Another great video, currently working on 2 Polaris 500 sportsman a 1999 and 2004 h.o. tore out the tank, lines, fuel pump, and Pitcock simultaneously. Going back together and looking at how the 1999 fuel lines were run and copied that..Except...the faquing fuel inlet lines are switched from side to side on these carbs. yes, fuel out exhaust donut, etc,. Thanks for the help It took a while for this one.Contacted Niche for fuel inlet info. and they said the upper inlet was for fuel. we now know that was wrong . the fuel inlet is lowest on the carb. didn't matter what side...sure was a head-scratcher. We are waiting for more videos, thanks, Brother.

Where do you suggest to get the parts for this? I have a 2001 Polaris 6x6 500? Mine will shift into Reverse easy but gears grind when I shift into forward high.

My 2004 Sportsman 700 never had the headlight POD so I used your grounding trick that you provided, and it now the AWD works and I bet it hasn't worked in YEARS! ❤ Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

Bad spark plugs can cause the same issue, or a worn spark plug cable the grounds out. Enough spark to idle, but not enough to give it throttle.

I replaced my carb on my 2000 sportsman 500. If I even half choke it it dies.

Love the blue color, have 2 blue Sportsman's 600's 04 and 03 which just got a 700 transplant. The 600 in that broke a connecting rod. I'm assuming from hydro lock.

Just bought a sportsman 700 as a project that has a slight tick while running. It sounds like it's coming from the starter bendix area. Ever hear of problems like that? I need to look over the carb boot and the Y exhaust to make sure those are good yet.
